Sidekick phones have been available for a long time now at T-Mobile US, which have their large screens attached at only one point to the case that has a QWERTY keyboard too, so the display can be rotated with a single push. The solution is of course protected by many patents, so American AT&T couldn't launch something similar. Soon-to-be-released Quickfire, however, looks just like T-Mobile Sidekick at first glance, but it's practically a simple, standard slider with a QWERTY keyboard. The 109 x 56 x 18 mm large handset, weighing 136 grams, is coming in November at a price of $99 USD. It features a 2.8", 240 x 320 pixels large touchscreen, a 1.3 megapixel camera, stereo Bluetooth, a microSD slot and a 1200 mAh battery.
