Motorola's department responsible for developing industrial mobile computers has reported that the new handsets will ship with the Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system. The American manufacturer has previously started using Microsoft's latest operating system on their products made for home and office use, but their industrial products have been using the previous version of the system - Windows CE - until now. The change brings new security measures and features for the customers, which includes advanced supervision solutions. The upgrade will be available this year for Motorola MC3000, MC9000 and MC7000 handset, while the upgrade for the MC75 communicator is coming early next year.
