We have heard of Modu at first in early 2008 and then it seemed that it could start a revoluion on the mobile phone market like iPhone did. Modu is in fact not a single device, but a concept, which is based on a really small and basic unit that can be extended with virtually any kind of feature with the help of modular jackets. The first Modus and jackets are not yet as successful as expected, the reason being that most users are looking for a model that has all the features at the same time instead of buying separate accessories for music playback, or photography. At the same time it would be a pity to disregard the concept, as it is really interesting since the accessories focusing on a single task could be of a much higher quality than the "full packed" phones. According to news a base device with a touchscreen is coming in about eight monts (sometimes around CES 2010), this being hopefully a much more up-to date handset.
