OPhone against iPhone

Hirdetés

The negotiations between Apple and the world's largest network operator have been long, but had no results, as China Mobile didn't want to apply special fees and they were against the profit sharing model as well. The iPhone will still be present in China, as China Unicom is expected to launch Apple's phone in June. China Mobile of course had to do something and they are launching OPhone, manufactured by Lenovo and LG, in June. The handset has a huge touchscreen and it's based on the Taiwanese MediaTek platform and runs the Open Mobile Sytem (OMS), which is a highly modified Google Android. THe large display, similar name and design clearly show that the handset is a rival of iPhone, and it could be an attractive alternative, thanks to its expectedly lower price.
