Nokia 5000 is not intended for professional photographers, but for those who cannot afford paying large sums, but would still like to enjoy the benefits of a hi-res display and a camera. The device, functioning on GSM 900/1800 networks, has a 2" TFT display with a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels, that can display maximum 65 thousand colors, while there is a 1.3 megapixel camera on its back. Pictures, videos, sounds and Java MIDP 2.0 applications can only be stored on the 12 MB large internal memory of phone, as there is no memory card slot implemented. Due to the lack of expandability there is no music player, but there is an FM radio, for which a stereo headset is included in the package. The handset supports EDGE and has Opera Mini 4 pre-installed, which provides faster and more comfortable browsing than usual. For local data transfer we have Bluetooth 2.0, while sharing pictures, for example, is possible through MMS or email messages. The battery has a capacity of only 700 mAh, the manufacturer states that it provides 4 h 45 min of talk time. The device with a size of 106 x 46 x 11 mm and weight of 74 grams is expected to be available this Summer at a price of €90.
