The last software released for Nokia 5800 XpressMusic has been quite fast, but it unfortunately had a number of annying small bugs. The v21 firmware, becoming available in more and more regions, seems to provide a solution for many flaws. The new software doesn't only bring faster boot, but the phone becomes usable practically as soon as the standby screen is displayed, the music player displays huge album covers, the camera works faster and besides these the automatic screen rotation is more precise and visual effects are faster. Currently there is no feedback available about the browser's stability. Handwriting recognition has been improved, the asterisk key now displays a fullscreen character map and switching back from the QWERTY keyboard won't turn off predictive text entry. The new software is currently avaialble only in the Asian region, but it is probably coming soon for Europe as well.
