Series 60 3rd Edition FP2

Hirdetés

The Nokia Series 60 3rd Edition FP2 has been officially presented and it is known that it will be first available on the Nokia N78, N96, 6210 Navigator and 6220 Classic models, although no specific information has been known until now. When taking a look at the devices presented at CES, the new features of the user interface have been revealed. As a first change, there is now a three button menu, just like on conventional phones, so the central button also has some function assigned to it constantly. The active standby screen can now be higly customized and the vertical shortcut menu is also available. The main menu can now have horseshoe and "V"-shaped views besides the classic list and grid views, both in portrait and landscape modes. Other new features include the renewed gallery menu, the fullscreen visual effects, the fade effects when changing screens and the automatic screen rotation based on the gravitational sensor. The camera's application has been updated too and navigation is handled by Nokia Maps 2, which has satellite view too. From the many enhancements many will like the new phonebook, which can now handle full screen caller pictures, not just tiny icons. One thing that can be bad news though, is that Nokia is probably not making the new version of the operating system available for their current models, so if someone needs the new features and functions, than he should take a look at one of the new Finnish models.
