The internet tablet (MID) made by OpenPeak, featuring a 7" touchscreen, has finally been announced under the name O2 Joggler, and it will first be available in England. Unfortunately the device has no SIM socket so it cannot be used on mobile networks, but besides WLAN access it also features a standard Ethernet port. The device's calendar can send timed SMS messages through the network operator's internet system, 50 messages per month being available for free. Reception of SMS messages has also been mentioned, but there are no technical details available about this feature. The device, available for 150 GBP from April, will be available for free when lengthening the contract, if someone would like an O2 Joggler instead of a phone.
