Nokia Comes With Music is available

The "Comes With Music" service, offering unlimited music downloads for one year, has been officially launched in England and it doesn't require a fidelity contract with the network operator or a special data package. The SIM-free "Nokia 5310 CWM" is available for only 130 GBP and this includes unlimited music downloads for one year on the mobile network, or even via the home computer. This latter might be really useful, as Nokia 5310 has no 3G support. The WMA tracks, having usually a bitrate of 192 kilobits (128 in the case of some older tracks), come with DRM copy protection and their quality is evidently poorer than standard CDs. The tracks can be burnt to a CD only after paying a separate fee, which is 0.8 GBP per tracks, or 8 GBP per album. Downloaded tracks are bound to a phone and a computer, but this latter one can be changed once every quarter year. After the one-year contract expires all tracks can be kept, in case they are accidentally deleted or corrupted they can be downloaded again for another two years. According to the first feedbacks Nokia's music catalog currently covers mostly popular music, but this might of course expand in the future.
