As it is known, there has been no agreement between world's largest network operator China Mobile and Apple, regarding the distribution of iPhones in China, still China Mobile has claimed that 400,000 unlocked Apple iPhones were using its network, by the end of 2007. Of course the devices are not distributed officially, we are talking about hacked models. If that figure is true, means that there are more unauthorised iPhones in China, than authorised iPhones in the whole of Europe, which represents just a tenth of iPhones shipped since launch. Obviously, with China Mobile getting a fair bit of revenue from the unlocked iPhones, they are somewhat hesitant to block all 400,000 of them. Curiously, when China Mobile ditched Apple's offer to launch the iPhone in China, one of the major reasons was Apple's controversial revenue sharing policy, while the other one being that the subscription price of the gadget would be more than the Chinese average wages.
