According to the Dutch website of Samsung, the manufacturer has withdrawn the SGH-C450 phones made after September 1 2008, as in some circumstances their radiation level has been much higher than allowed. The cheap handset has been sold mostly in a prepay package in many stores. According to the manufacturer's press release, owners of the withdrawn handsets will receive a free Samsung M150, which is a really fair thing to do, as this one has a larger display and 20 MB of internal memory. It is not yet known if the South-Korean company will withdraw C450 in other countries as well; it is possible that the fault has affected only the Dutch models.
