We know HTC's got a big announcement coming this Tuesday, and while we can't say for sure it's going to the Touch Diamond, if today's leaked images and specs are at all accurate we think they might have something big on their hands
We have been reporting earlier on the device, but now we have its full specifications, which is not official yet, but we expect it to be certified tomorrow:
- Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional operating system
- 2.8" diagonal, VGA resolution display (!)
- 528 MHz Qualcomm MSM 7201A CPU
- 128 MB RAM, 256 MB ROM
- 4 GB internal flash memory, microSD expandability
- Quad-band GSM module, HSDPA support
- 802.11b/g WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0, eGPS, FM radio
- 3.2 megapixel, autofocus camera
- 10.7 mm thick

So the list of features is very impressive, the most welcome new feature is certainly the VGA resolution touchscreen, as the manufacturer has avoided the use of hi-res displays for some reason. The fast CPU, the huge internal memory and the advanced data transfer features make the device very flexible, so it can be appropriate for both multimedia freaks and businessmen, even though they will probably like Raphael more, as it has a QWERTY keyboard. The prism - sorry: diamond - exterior, might scare off users that like more conventional designs.
