After the initial pre-alpha and aplha editions, the first beta of Fennec (or Firefox mobile) is now available for Maemo Linux devices, which means almost only the Nokia N800 and N810 internet tablets. The new edition has a much improved zooming and scrolling speed and made browsing a much more fluid experince. The first beta supports plugins, so embedded videos can be viewed directly from the browser. It is not yet known when will the Series 60 (Touch), Windows Mobile and Android versions become available, but until then here's a video of the new web browser.
