    Three minute video shows off the Xperia Z5 family in all its glory

    The video overview of the new Sony Xperia Z5 range is given by Olivier Terme, Sony Mobile France Marketing Director and a journalist from Clubic.com. Terme confirms the launch of three handsets: the Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Compact and the Xperia Z5 Premium.

    The new design will have an ‘XPERIA’ logo on the side of the aluminium frame (it’s not clear if this will only be on the Xperia Z5 Premium or all of the Z5 family). These will be the first Sony Xperia models to feature a fingerprint sensor.

    The rear camera will have a 23MP image sensor capable of 5x Clear Image Zoom (the latter was also seen in the Xperia M5). It will have the fastest autofocus in the market at 30 milliseconds (the Xperia M5 auto-focus was 250 milliseconds). Sony has optimised the software to provide better pictures. The Superior Auto mode will now let you select the resolution of your pictures to 8MP (16:9), 20MP (16:9) or 23MP (4:3).

    The phones will feature capless microUSB ports and will be water and dust resistant (IP68 certification is likely). Two-day battery life will be feature of all three Xperia Z5 models, which is somewhat surprising when referring to the Xperia Z5 Premium, especially given its 4k resolution 5.5-display.
