Most idézek:"Vainglory hasn't been announced for Android yet. Not saying we'll never do it, but at the moment we're focussing on iOS to make sure it's absolutely perfect. That said, we know there are many gamers out there that have an Android device and would love to play Vainglory! So never say never, as long as we can find a way to give Android users the exact same high quality experience that iOS users are used to and we can absolutely guarantee that it's not possible to cheat or hack the game more easily"

"@Rand is right. Writing games for Android is quite a bit different then for iOS. It's definitely possible to convert a game from iOS to Android or vise versa, but it's by no means trivial. What makes Android extra tricky is that there is a very wide range of devices, each with different hardware and different performance characteristics. Compare this to iOS, where all devices all use the same chips (just faster versions). We call this 'fragmentation' of the Android platform and it's a real big problem at the moment for Google and Android users -- there are simply waaaay too many different devices. This fragmentation makes it very hard to make sure that your game works well on all Android devices. Here you can see an article about fragmentation of Android: http://gizmodo.com/what-android-fragmentation-looks-like-its-growing-1624662310.

Secondly, it's been shown many times that iOS users on average are willing to spend more money on apps and games then Android users. And making games is expensive, even mobile games nowadays can costs many millions of dollars to develop! So it makes sense then developers would first make them for the platform where they believe they will make their money back...

Another problem is that on Android, it's easier to hack apps because there is much less strict control on what software is and isn't allowed to run on the device. And the risk of hacking is something that we take very serious. It's one thing if someone hacks there own game, but in a multiplayer game like Vainglory, hackers can very quickly destroy the game experience for everything and kill the game and the community. So we want to make absolutely sure that that won't happen..."
