The one of the most feature-filled Symbian smartphones, equipped with the currently highest resolution camera, Samsung INNOV8 is now available. The handset, based on Symbian Series 60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 2 (S60 FP 3.2) has features it's hard to pick on. The 2.8", 240 x 320 pixels large display, the 7.2 megabit HSDPA support, WLAN and Bluetooth 2.0, GPS receiver, microSD support, 8 or 16 GB of internal memory, the TV-out, stereo RDS FM radio, 1200 mAh battery and the 8 megapixel autofocus camera that can record videos at even 120 frames/sec make the handset an almost completely unique one and based on the first test pictures the camera can easily compete with even an ultracompact digital camera. There have previously been rumors about the handset's price being above €750 EUR. The SIM-free handset available from Expansys costs 535 GBP (about €650 EUR), which is about 100 euro less then originally rumored price. The phone is of course still not cheap, but Nokia N96, launched in the same segment, is no low-cost handset either.
