  In football there are two teams. In each team there are 11 players. The game is played on a football field which is 100 yards long. (A "100-yard-long" melléknév, ugyanúgy mint pl. a "seven-year-old". Tehát azt mondhatod, hogy "a seven-year-old kid" vagy azt, hogy "the kid is seven years old" Itt is: "a 100-yard-long football field" vagy "the football field is 100 yards long") The players have to advance the ball into(/over) the other team's goal. The team which scores more goals wins (the match). The players mustn't use their hands only their legs and sometimes their heads. The only player who is allowed to touch the ball with his/her hands is the goalkeeper.
