    Types of points
    You can earn My Nintendo points by completing missions.
    There are two types of My Nintendo points: Platinum Points and Gold Points. Each type of points is earned in a different way and can be redeemed for different types of rewards.

    Platinum Points (Valid for 6 months after you collect them)
    Points earned for using various Nintendo services. These points can be redeemed for any reward that requires Platinum Points.
    Points earned for using Nintendo smart-device apps (Fire Emblem Heroes, Super Mario Run, Miitomo)
    The type of points you get depends on the app. Please note that you can't redeem points earned in one app for a reward specific to a different app.

    Gold Points (Valid for 12 months after you collect them)
    Points earned by purchasing digital games from Nintendo eShop or the Nintendo website (where available). Points can also be earned by purchasing packaged Nintendo Switch software. These points can be redeemed for any reward that requires Gold Points.

    You can check the points you've collected, the points you've redeemed, and any points that have expired by going to Points history in the menu.

    Important Information
    The methods to acquire points and the types of points available will vary by country/region.
